Would you believe that I still have some free time between family, 5 DT, weekend workshops and some orders? No, right?
I wouldn't believe either. But somehow I managed to find few free hours to alter this wooden box :)
And now it's Steampunk style treasure box :)
And I'm really love it!
If you are interested, I painted this box with Lindy's mists, Art Alchemy metallique paints and Art Alchemy metallique waxes. And a little bit of Rust Effect paste (by Finnabair of course)
Today i would like to share with you my new notebook cover.
I created it for The MiNi Art DT inspiration. I really like when my creations are not only beautiful but also useful. And that's why I really like to create notebook covers. This time I was inspired by beautiful Berry71Bleu's mood-board.
I have a new project to share with you.
It's an altered hoop. I created it as Scrap & Craft DT inspiration and I was inspired by More Than Words May challenge. So beautiful theme - Mother and flowers...
My creation is a gift for my beautiful mom, just to remember her how amazing she is.
How are you?
My last 2 days were terrible. I got 2 emergency orders. And to misfortune, my sewing machine broke down in the middle of the work. But that wasn't all. Also my Cinch spoiled 20 sheets of paper for a blessing book, and these were the last sheets. My poor husband had to solve my problems instead of work. He put the sewing machine to repair, and in the evening we went to buy a lot of new papers.
But this project I've crated before :)
It's a layout in Vintage style with my mom's photo. On this photo she's maybe 12 with her big brother.
I created it for The Mini Art, with their chipboards and stencil, using 7 Dots Studio papers and Prima Marketing embellishments
I have a new creation to share with you :)
It's Vintage style mixed media canvas. I created it as my inspiration project for Mixed Media Warriors challenge blog.
When I began I had no idea what it's going to be. I didn't plane this creation at all. I just started from adding some chipboard die cuts pieces, modeling paste + stencils and played with mists and Art Alchemy paints. When I got this background in vintage style colors, I decided to put on it some vintage ephemera, flowers and metal junk elements :)
How are you? Do you like to create your projects from scratch? Or prefer to use ready-made bases? I prefer to make my creations from scratch :)
So If you more like me you'll love my new mixed media project with a video tutorial. I had build this binder from scratch and covered it with a lot of mixed media techniques. All you need are few chipboard pieces, fabric adhesive tape, cotton fabric and ring binder.
A list of all mixed media materials you'll find in the bottom of this post. The tutorial is little bit long, but all steps seemed to me important so I couldn't shorten more. Sorry :)
Yesterday I finally could back to my big love - Mixed Media.
And I have a new creation to share with you. It's a huge canvas. The canvas size is 40 x 60 cm, or 16 x 24 inch.
It was my first attempt to create something so big. I have to tell you that I really liked it. Somehow for me it's more easy to build harmonic composition on a big format. When I'm working on small surfaces I feel Like I don't have enough space to put on it all embellishments :)
But this time on this canvas I finally added all my faves :)
It's me again and this time it's a different project, not mixed media at all :)
It's an album for girl. I created it to order ( I do it for time to time).
I made this album using wonderful materials from Scrap & Craft store. "Tiny Miracles" collection by Lemon Craft is so sweet.
Album size is 7.5 x 7.5" (18 x 18 cm)
8 pages inside and place for at last 51 photos.
Finally I found half day to create some gift for my husband :)
It's organizer to his office table. There is a place for pens, for cards and for notes.
Can you recognize these boxes? :)
The round one is empty small coffee box and two others are empty packages of Finnabair Patina Effect Pastes and Stone Effect Pastes :)
I have 2 new creations to share with you. Both of them created for The MiNi Art DT. They don't have a blog, but you welcome to follow them on FB.
My first project is a layout. It's pretty simple, but liked it :)
My newest creation - Whimsical flower girl.
It's mixed media collage on canvas.
The girl face is my original drawing, colored with Prismacolor pencils.
The background is a cardstock. Besides I used here watercolors, Lindy's mists and water-soluble wax pastels.
And my big inspiration came to me from Mixed Media & Art mood-board.
I was inspired by colors, spring theme and the girl's photo with a lot of flowers on the head.
Yesterday I received my order form Bee Shabby - Russian scrapbook manufacturer, with 3 new collections inside. One of those new collections was "Follow the Alice". It's really amazing collection themed one of my favorite stories "Alice in Wonderland". I think it's the best release ever with this theme.
I was so amazed by these materials and immediately started to create this mini album.
The album size is 7.5x7.5", 10 pages inside and place to hold minimum 53 photos
Hello my dears!
Today I would like to share with you something different. It's pretty simple mini album which I created for custom order. Before my passion to Mixed Media I was design scrapbook albums for clients. After few years of this work I started to get bored. So I decided not to do it any more. But sometimes I still need a money :), so if I get some simple order which I can do in one work day - I definitely do it :)
The album size is 7.5x7.5"
It opens on the right side, because in Hebrew they write from the right to the left :)
I have to tell you that I have new love! 7 Dots Studio - I discovered this brand only few months ago and immediately fell in love. Their papers are so gorgeous and versatile. With the same papers you can create any project in any theme and style.
This time I created 3 cards in Vintage style with colorful accents. Each card include a quote and if you put them together you get whole sentence with a meaning :)
All chipboard pieces I colored with Art Alchemy Sparks and Art Alchemy waxes. They are amazing!
Do you like challenges? And watercolors?
Because at Mixed Media World blog we have a nice challenge for you.
The theme: anything goes with watercolors.
I decided to draw one of my girls. I colored her face with Prismacolor pencils. But her neck, her hair, flowers and feathers made with watercolors.
У нас в Mixed Media World blog новое задание.
Hello my dears!
I have a new project to share with you :)
This time my inspiration came from Prima Marketing April challenge.
I created a notebook cover. Usually I'm working on small notebooks (A5). But this time my husband found for me few big notebooks (A4) with hard cover. So I had to try this format and I liked it.
Hello my dears!
Yesterday was published my project at Mixed Media Warriors blog. Today I have to share it here with you :)
It's an altered hoop in Boho style. Everything began when I got those wooden words from Aliexpress. I ordered them for LO tittles because I believed they much smaller. It was a big surprise to found out the huge size of those words :)
I decided to keep them and use them in mixed media projects. I going to create 3 altered hoops. Each one with different word. This is second hoop. The first one I shared few months ago.
Hello my dears!
I discovered another cool challenge blog - More Than Words.
And there is a great challenge there: Black-White colors and "Dream" word.
So I created a LO with my old photo.
I'm 14 years old on this photo and it's my last photo in Kiev, city which I was born. In the same year we moved to Israel, with all our new plans and dreams. Some of them came true and some of them will stay as dreams forever :)
Hello my dears!
Do you love notebooks?
I'm really like to create them from scratch.
This one I created with denim cover in Finnabair style. Amazing Finnabair was here in Israel and taught few workshops. I couldn't go, because I taught my own workshops in those days. So I decided to create some project in the same style, just for fun.
Chipboard die cuts by The MiNi Art really helped me in this project.
And of course I used a few Lindy's mists and a lot of Art Alchemy paints.
Today I have to show you an altered bottle. I created this project for Mixed Media Place store. I just took a simple glass bottle and turned it to a beautiful vase :). I prefer not to write a long explanations just scroll down and watch a video tutorial. This time I created it with my voice instructions in English. Hope it's clear enough :)
Hello my dears!
In the last 3 days I was busy with creating 2 mini albums on order. Both orders for little girls. Actually, I'm only rarely taking orders. Only if they are small (like mini album) and do not require additional costs :)
But I didn't have time to photograph them yet.
So this time I going to show you one more mixed media creation.
It's altered wooden photo frame.
Last week I received my package from Mixed Media place. And finally I was able to try all the new Finnabair products. I love all of them!
(Stone effect pastes, Patina effect pastes, Art Alchemy sparks, Art Alchemy waxes)
At this frame I combined all new materials :)
How are you? I was sick. Some problems with my spine and neck. But no disease can stop me :). So I've created a few mixed media projects. Finally I received my box from Mixed Media Place with a lot of new Finnabair products. I think it's a good reason to create and not stay in the bed :)
This is my first project - mixed media canvas with antique Goddess :)
I created it for Our Mixed Media Moods Challenge inspiring by this amazing mood board.
The face I sculpted by myself again, no mold or something :)
The face and all inside elements I painted with Art Alchemy Sparks. They are amazing! And I also used here Patina Paste :)
How is your weekend? My was busy as always :)
I taught 2 workshops. But I'll show you the results in my next post :)
This time I have to share with you one art journal spread, which I created for Scrap & Craft store. Did you know that you can buy there ready-made art journal with printed pages and owire binding? I liked this kind of journal. Finally I can create something with 3-D embellishments.
Today I want to share with you my new creation.
Mixed Media canvas "Live in the moment"
I created it to remind myself not to be so much worried about what happens.
Life is to short. And it's so important to live each moment of your life. Even if this moment not so happy and bright. You always can find in it something shine and beautiful, like this glittered butterfly.
